Museum of Play and Arts (MoPA) Geelong
MoPA Geelong – Museum of Play and Art
If you’re looking for a birthday venue that feels a little bit special (but still super easy for parents), MoPA Geelong is one of the standout kids’ party spots in the region.
Set inside a beautifully restored historic building in the heart of Geelong, MoPA combines interactive play, immersive art experiences, and educator-led activities to create a party that feels more like an adventure than a traditional birthday celebration.
Why it’s perfect for kids’ parties
MoPA takes the stress out of hosting, offering a fully hosted experience where everything is taken care of – from setup to activities and food. Kids are kept engaged with hands-on play spaces and creative experiences, while parents can relax and enjoy the day (yes, there’s even a café and optional wine for grown-ups).
Party packages include:
- Dedicated party hosts (for most packages)
- Private party space or full museum access depending on package
- Age-appropriate activities and play experiences
- Kids’ catering options (traditional or healthy packs, plus dietary options)
- Lolly bags and balloon arrangements (selected packages)
- Invitations and RSVP support
- Optional extras like cupcakes, platters, and café tabs for adults
What makes MoPA stand out
Unlike a standard play centre, MoPA is designed to be immersive and curated – with ever-changing exhibits and guided experiences that feel thoughtful and engaging rather than chaotic. It’s especially well suited to children aged around 1–7, making it ideal for early primary and kinder-aged birthdays.
